FEAT of Oregon Presents Super Saturday

Are you looking for a great social and recreational program for your children?  Are you looking for 3 hours of Christmas shopping without the children?   This is your time.  Just minutes away from the new Meier and Frank and shopping center at Tanasborne, is where we hold Super Saturday!

FEAT of Oregon presents Super Saturday Junior, a recreational and social program for children ages 3-8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), their siblings and friends!

We are fortunate to have Marie McMahon, Psy.D. and Shawn L. M. Horn, as Co-Directors of the FEAT of Oregon Super Saturday program. Currently, Dr. McMahon and Ms. Horn are collaborating on a book about playdates for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. They are both very experienced in teaching social and play skills to children on the spectrum.

Dr. McMahon is a licensed Psychologist in the State of Oregon and Washington and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Washington Psychological Association. She has a Doctorate and Masters degrees in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University. Dr. McMahon completed her internship with the May Institute, Inc., in Norwood, MA which focused on Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has specific training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and provided services through the Northwest Young Autism Project for 3 years.

Shawn L. M. Horn is the Director of the Northwest Young Autism Project, LLC. Over the last 10 years Ms. Horn has worked with many families and school districts training educational assistants and designing programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her training began as an undergraduate student at the UCLA Clinic for the Behavioral Treatment of Children under the direction of Dr. O. Ivar Lovaas.

Each child is matched with a trained volunteer and we currently have openings for 15 children in December.  See you there!
