The PLAN Adoption Agency (Plan Loving Adoptions Now) is a
30 year old, private, non profit, Christian agency that provides
24 hours a day access, statewide, to families facing an
unplanned pregnancy. Crisis counselors are located in
communities all over the State. Lynda Merrill's job as a
crisis counselor for the Agency, is to be available to
immediately meet with birth parents in Central Oregon to provide
free, non-judgmental help for them to look at their options.

Therapeutic
Riding
 | Healing Reins Therapeutic Riding Center. Offers the therapeutic benefits of being on and around horses to children and adults with physical, mental, and emotional challenges, and at-risk youth. The Center also offers Hippotherapy (physical therapy on horseback), which is done by licensed physical therapists. The Center relies on trained staff, instructors, and volunteers to work with the riders and horses. They build self esteem and have a staff of loving committed personnel. Big Brothers/Big Sisters of
Central Oregon. Matches youths in Deschutes County
ages 6-15 years with positive adult role models. Each youth in
need of quality adult attention is matched with a screened adult
mentor who provides consistent guidance and support. Activities
include spending time together riding bikes, hiking, ice

comprehensive services dedicated to the safety and care of
children ages 0 - 17 years. Services include foster care. Foster
parents are needed to provide children, who have been abused or

Youth Enhancement Services (Y.E.S.) - First offender division
program to divert first time misdemeanants and class C felons
from the more formal juvenile court/probation process. Some of
the services they offer are on teaching youths the
decision-making process, providing law-related education,
individual counseling, monitoring school progress and acting as

La Pine -
La Pine Youth Diversion Services is a program that serves youths
ages 7-17 years in all of south county. They generally serve
first time offenders, but can include those at risk of becoming
offenders. They offer counseling, referral to appropriate

Redmond -
Redmond Juvenile Services Program (JSP) includes two
components. Teen Court, where cases are presented and heard by
a jury of their peers; and Diversion which is an informal
disposition hearing in lieu of formal prosecution within

with a program that holds them accountable for problem behavior,
and also to provide local youths with the means to be actively
